Joan Freeman Family Therapy

It is at these times we need assistance to gain insight into the issues and to learn effective ways of coping. We like to believe that regardless of what life throws at us, we are able to handle it on our own and that it is a sign of weakness to ask for help. In fact, the opposite is true. It takes insight and courage to acknowledge there is a problem and being willing to open oneself up to someone they do not know and ask for assistance. I work with clients in a non-directive and interactive manner, conveying my respect for your ability to find the solution that is best for you.

Change is part of life and is necessary for growth. But many times we resist change as it may feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar and it is easier to maintain the status quo even though it may be negatively affecting you.
